Tasksfor Pebble

Terms of use

The rules for using Tasks for Pebble, including how subscriptions, trials and renewals work.

Last updated 26 September 2026

01About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Tasks for Pebble (“Tasks”, “we”, “us”) for the use of the Tasks app for iPhone, the Tasks watch app for Pebble, and the services behind them. By downloading or using Tasks you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Apple’s standard licence agreement for App Store apps also applies. Where the two differ, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.

02The app

Tasks lets you create lists by voice and by typing on your iPhone, and view, check off and make lists on a Pebble Time 2, Pebble Round 2 or Pebble 2 Duo. The iPhone app works on its own. The watch app needs the iPhone app, a linked account, the Pebble app on the same phone and an internet connection.

03Subscriptions and free trial

Tasks is a subscription app. To use it you need an active subscription or free trial.

  • Plans. Monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscriptions, sold by Apple through the App Store. The price for your country is shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy, and may vary between countries.
  • Free trial. New subscribers may get a free trial. When it ends, it turns into the paid subscription you chose and your Apple ID is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
  • Renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Managing and cancelling. Manage or cancel in your iPhone’s Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or from Tasks › Settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Refunds. Payments are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, under Apple’s policies. This doesn’t affect any rights you have under consumer law.
  • Price changes. If the price changes, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before charging the new price.
  • Without a subscription, the app shows the subscription screen and the watch shows “Subscribe on your iPhone”. Your lists aren’t deleted: they stay on your iPhone and come back when you subscribe again.

04Fair use

To keep the service fast and affordable for everyone, voice lists, Autocomplete and icon suggestions share a limit of 50 requests per day per account, and linking attempts are limited per hour. We may adjust these limits to protect the service; we’ll keep them generous for normal personal use.

05Acceptable use

Please use Tasks for your own lists, lawfully. Don’t:

  • try to get around the subscription, the limits or the security of the service, or access other people’s data;
  • send automated or excessive requests, reverse-engineer the service beyond what the law allows, or interfere with it;
  • use Tasks to create or store unlawful, harmful or abusive content, or to send content that would violate OpenAI’s usage policies.

We may suspend access to the online features for accounts that break these rules.

06AI-made lists

Lists made by voice, Autocomplete and icon suggestions are produced by an AI model (OpenAI). They can be incomplete, wrong or unsuitable for your situation: a packing list can miss something, and an item can be based on a misheard word. Check anything that matters, such as medicines, allergies, travel documents or safety equipment, yourself. AI suggestions are not professional, medical, legal or financial advice.

07Your lists

Your lists belong to you. You give us permission to store, copy and process them only as needed to run Tasks for you: syncing them with your watch and sending the text you choose to OpenAI to build lists, as described in the privacy policy. We don’t use your lists for anything else.

08Availability and changes

We work to keep Tasks running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. The online features depend on other services, including Apple, Google Firebase, OpenAI, RevenueCat and the Pebble app, and may be interrupted when they are. We may change, improve or remove features. If we plan to shut down the online service, we’ll give reasonable notice in the app, and the lists on your iPhone will stay on your iPhone.

09Apple, Pebble and others

Tasks is an independent app. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by the owner of the Pebble trademark, Core Devices or Rebble. Pebble is a trademark of its owner. Apple, iPhone and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Apple isn’t responsible for Tasks or its support. Your use of the Pebble app and other services is governed by their own terms.

10Liability

Tasks is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as the failure of a third-party service. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Tasks in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.

11Stopping

You can stop using Tasks at any time: cancel your subscription and delete the app. To have the data we hold about you deleted, see the privacy policy. We may end or suspend access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country. Before going to court, please write to us: most problems can be solved quickly.

13Changes and contact

We may update these terms when the app or the law changes. We’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Tasks after that, the new terms apply.
